Not a class rep and still want something to do this weekend? Are a class rep and aren’t really busy? Want to get involved in student activism but be free of the risk of being called ahack? Then FEE is the group for you!
This Saturday Free Education for Everyone will be hosting their National Conference at the Teacher’s Club, Parnell Square in fair old Dublin town. Conference commences from 1pm but you are encouraged to be there early.
For those new to student activism, the national conference is a great way to meet like minded individuals from across the many universities and IT branches from both the north and south of Ireland. For veterans, it’s a chance to meet old comrades as well as newer members.
After the meeting, it is expected that members will take the short stroll to Parnell Square for the Democracy Now’s talk on education followed by joining those Occupying Dame Street. All in all, a great day of clean healthy Lefty activity.
Cause it can’t be all work and no play, the FEE FUND-RAISER will be on for those sticking around and will be held in Seomra Spraoi from 8pm. The theme is School Disco, and dress is encouraged. As it’s Seomra, feel free to bring as many cans as you want. Poster is found underneath.
